We now refer to this trip as "Spring Break your leg" because while on Spring Break, my son suffered a severe break of his tibia and fibula, which resulted in the next few months in a wheelchair, cast and crutches that lasted into the summer months.
As miserable as that sounds, he-we-still love the mountains. He still loves to ski. We were in Keystone, CO at the time and this is Breckinridge. We went to Breckinridge late one afternoon for dinner and to see the slopes. I took this photo with my head hanging out the window of the slopes of Breck, with the promise that we would ski here on our last day. The next to the last day was the break, so we never got to Breck.
This painting is for the promise, we'll be back to Breck.
